Think 50's pinup pool side chic wearing bright, bold prints & colours reminiscent of spring gardens in the South Pacific. A Summer romance, isn't that what we all dream about?

This notion seems to have sparked a series of trends in the swimwear realm, and it's all about 50's femininity. Both delicate and intoxifying, the must have bikini or one piece for this Spring / Summer season is a decadent blend of florals and frills. To channel this trend, seek out frills, lace, bows, bold prints and florals in pastel or jewel coloured tones.

With regards to trending colour palettes, expect tones of; blond tabacco, melon sorbet, terracotta, turkish delight, sand, bubble gum, peppermint and grenadine. Further to this, as noted on Fashionising.com;

"Stylists involved with the viannual colour meeting organised by Eurovet have said that while we will probably see these colours used on their own to some degree, we will mostly see them as parts of either embroidery or used in extremely colourful pop graffiti prints. Also predicted is a re-occurrence of the romantic trend and inspirations taken from the Pop Art of the sixties and seventies."

All in all, it's no wonder that we're all lusting after these particularly pretty and perfectly pink bikini's. Florals and frills are set to capture your hearts and leave you breathless.
